This Spring break I will be bringing a group of 12 students from Bastyr University to a Spanish language school in Guatemala.  We will be immersed in intensive language study with an emphasis on Medical Spanish.  I work with the Latino population at Consejo Counseling and Referral Services in Columbia City on Fridays and I see more and more Spanish speaking patients in my private practice.  I am very excited to improve upon my Spanish skills so that I can better help my patients.
